Our Values
Manifesting God’s plan
We exist to help young adults live and love like Christ every day. Our priority is to equip young adults to serve as followers of Jesus in their own neighborhoods, schools, and workplace.
Through purposeful leadership and community growth, our internship programs are designed to bring about personal and spiritual transformation.
Community and relationships
Our programs are built on the foundation of participation in community life and showing awareness of and empathy for others. Whether it’s our community of interns and internship leaders or those among whom we live and serve, we all can impact those around us – making the world a more loving, brighter place.
Wholehearted participation in community life means getting along with, learning from, and supporting the growth of your fellow interns.
Growth and resilience
We rarely grow or learn when we are comfortable. The QuadW Missional Internship is designed to encourage growth through new experiences and challenging preconceived notions. We are committed to creating an authentic Christian mission experience, with intentional community and faith exploration through a commitment to live in service to God’s plan.
Our goal is to find the spaces where we can stretch beyond our comfort zones and be transformed through God’s presence in and around us as we work to bring heaven to earth.
Financial Integrity
“So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
Because the Lord supplies us with resources for ministry through individual contributions, we recognize our accountability both to Him and to our donors. We have a responsibility to be faithful stewards and to maintain integrity and openness in our financial practices.
Therefore, we are committed to fulfilling the following standards:
Subscribing to a written Statement of Faith clearly affirming our commitment to a sound Christian doctrine.
Maintaining governance by a responsible and involved Board of Directors.
Meeting as necessary to establish policies, approve budgets, and review operational results and ministry accomplishments.
Using contributions faithfully and wisely in accordance with our mission of creating transformational experience for college students through short term service missional opportunities.
Making our financial statements available to all who request them.
Seek to conduct QuadW Missional Outreach activities with the highest standards of integrity and avoid conflicts of interest.
Avoid high-pressure, manipulative, or deceptive fund-raising tactics and respect the privacy of our supporters by never selling, leasing, or renting our mailing lists.
Avoiding indebtedness that dishonors the cause of Christ and hinders the work of the Gospel by timely paying vendors and fulfilling financial commitments.
To grow in knowledge and understanding of best financial practices for nonprofits to fulfill the fiduciary duty of care attributable to each Board member
Statement of Beliefs
The QuadW Missional Internship is for all who seek to follow Jesus as Lord. We affirm the beliefs common to Christianity, as espoused in the Church’s historic statements of faith.
We believe the Bible is the story of God and humanity. It is inspired, true, and authoritative. To be a Christian is to embrace the story of Scripture as our own, joining God’s mission to heal the world.
We believe in the Trinity - that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human, our Savior and our Lord. We believe he lives for us, died for us, and will come again for us.
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to ever grow in faith and to live as instruments of God’s love for the world.
We believe all people are of sacred worth, created and loved by God.
We believe that God desires for us to be in right relationship with God, with others, with ourselves, and with all of creation. Consequently, there is no aspect of our existence that God doesn’t care about. Faithfulness to God and God’s mission requires that we care for the wellbeing of others and for the world God created.
We believe our calling is to bring together young adults across the lines that so typically divide us, to help them live as agents of God’s mission in community with one another and with those among whom they serve.
